Chair, 14th Cherry Blossom Symposium Kagoshima, Japan

Dear Colleagues,

I am thrilled to welcome you to the 14th Cherry Blossom Symposium, themed "Future Dreams Come True in Automation and Robotics," taking place in the beautiful city of Kagoshima, Japan. Since its inception in 1998, this symposium has brought together experts and practitioners from around the globe to discuss advancements in clinical laboratory automation, a field in which Japan has emerged as a global pioneer.

Over the years, the Cherry Blossom Symposium has played a vital role in promoting and disseminating knowledge about total systemization in clinical testing, drawing esteemed participants from diverse countries. We are excited to continue this tradition at our 14th gathering, where we aim to foster dialogues that will lead to further breakthroughs in automation and robotics in clinical laboratories.

Kagoshima, known for its delicious cuisine and stunning landscapes, is surrounded by beautiful sights, including an active volcano “Sakurajima”. We invite you not only to engage in informative discussions but also to fully immerse yourself in the rich culture and hospitality that Japan has to offer. This symposium is a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues, share insights, and collectively explore how we can elevate the future of clinical testing through innovative automation systems.

As we gather from various parts of the world—including Korea, the United States, and beyond—I hope you find the discussions enlightening and the experience fulfilling. My heartfelt desire is for this symposium to inspire collaboration and advance our shared goals in the field of automation in healthcare.

I look forward to an engaging and productive symposium with all of you.

Warm regards,
